Our Story
ARNIER specialises in high-performance cycling components made from carbon fibre composites. We combine a passion for cycling with computational design and precision CNC machining — hand-laying every carbon component and machining every aluminium part in the same Blue Mountains workshop. Experience the difference in your ride with components engineered for excellence.
Drawing upon experience in aerospace, high-performance vehicles, and energy, ARNIER focusses on quality above all else, and brings a rigorous and uncompromising engineering lens to component development and manufacture.
Progress….
-
Where it started
This was ARNIER's first attempt at moulding prepreg carbon. We've come a long way since, but it's worth remembering where we began.
-

ARNIER and Caerix: composites and tooling
Composite design is only half the story. Building a solid carbon component also means mastering the metal tooling that shapes it.
-

Tooling
With the machine in place, the next step is the hundreds of end mills needed to cut ARNIER's moulding tools.
-
Pressure
Once the layup is complete, the mould is sealed and pressurised inside the oven while the part cures.
-

Flash
Flash is a good sign. The excess resin squeezing out of the mould confirms the part has been fully pressurised during curing. This is why prepreg carries so much resin to begin with: around 47%.

Testing with EFBE
Next step: independent testing.
